1. Introduction
Native Notify, Inc. ("Native Notify," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website nativenotify.com, the Native Notify dashboard at app.nativenotify.com, and the Native Notify push notification service, including the native-notify software development kit (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, create an account, or use the Services. It also describes your rights and choices regarding that information.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the Services:
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and other information you choose to provide.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processors collect billing details such as credit or debit card information. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Device and push data. When a developer integrates the native-notify SDK into their mobile application, we collect and store device push tokens, device identifiers, platform information (such as iOS or Android), app identifiers, and notification delivery and open events. This information is required to deliver push notifications.
Data provided by developers. Developers may send us end-user identifiers, notification content, notification inboxes, group and topic subscriptions, and similar data through the Services in order to send notifications to their own users.
Usage and analytics data. We collect information about how visitors and customers use our website and dashboard, such as pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type, and approximate location derived from an IP address.
Communications. If you contact us for support or feedback, we keep a record of that correspondence.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Deliver push notifications on behalf of developers to the devices that have opted in to receive them;
- Create and manage your account, subscriptions, and billing;
- Provide analytics such as monthly active users, delivery rates, and open rates;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you;
- Monitor for fraud, abuse, and compliance with our Terms of Service;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use push notification data to build advertising profiles.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information only when we have a legal basis to do so, including:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you have signed up for;
- Legitimate interests — to secure, operate, and improve the Services;
- Consent — where you have given it, for example by opting in to push notifications on your device;
- Legal obligations — to comply with applicable law.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Push delivery providers. Push notifications are delivered through third-party infrastructure, including Expo, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and Apple's Push Notification service (APNs). Device tokens and notification payloads are processed by these providers in order to deliver notifications.
- Service providers. Companies that help us host our infrastructure, process payments, provide analytics, and deliver customer support, under contractual obligations to protect the information.
- Legal requirements. To comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Native Notify, our users, and the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice as required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you cancel your account or delete your app from the Services, we will delete or de-identify the associated data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- The right to access the personal information we hold;
- The right to correct inaccurate information;
- The right to request deletion of your personal information;
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent;
- The right to data portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
You may also opt out of push notifications at any time through your device or app settings, since push notifications are delivered only with your consent. To exercise any of the rights above, please contact us using the information in the Contact section below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
If you are an end user of an app built on Native Notify, please contact the developer of that app first: the developer controls the data sent through our Services, and we will assist them with your request as needed.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it. Developers who use our Services in apps directed at children are responsible for obtaining any required consents and complying with applicable children's privacy laws.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we process, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and the information we process may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, or you wish to exercise your rights, please contact Native Notify, Inc. through the support options available on our website at nativenotify.com or from within your Native Notify dashboard.
